This sixth plate tintype features a Union private. The man’s lopsided blouse gives the appearance that he just pulled it on in preparation for posing. He is armed with two weapons—a musket with bayonet at his side and a Bowie knife tucked into his belt. The image had gold tint applied to the buttons, buckle, and knife handle, and then his trousers were very nicely tinted blue. Comes housed in a full case with repaired hinge and replacement pillow.
