A young Union soldier is featured in this late-war CDV image by photographer A. S. Morse of Nashville, Tennessee. The soldier wears a frock coat over a vest with the familiar “40 rounds” badge of the 15th Army Corps partially visible. On the reverse is Morse’s “Dep’t of the Cumberland” imprint over a 3-cent revenue stamp. Measures about 2 1/2” x 4”.
